Today, April 22nd is being celebrated by Earth Spirits around the world, who recognise they are connected to Mother Earth in some way. This can be as small as those who love to enjoy time in nature and the outdoors, to the backyard gardeners, to indoor gardeners, practitioners of herbal medicine, either at home or at clinical practice.
Today is a day to give thanks to Mother Earth for all the many things she provides us, food, shelter, health and wellbeing.
Whatever Mother Earth means to you, you can light a candle, pause for a moment and give thanks to Mother Earth for what we have received in the past, what we will receive today, and what we will receive in the future.
And of course, plant a tree, flower, or vegetable if you can.
Mother Earth doesn’t need us, but we sure need her.
